The INA KESS Animal Foundation is dedicated to making a positive impact on animal welfare and the protection of endangered species. Our approach involves supporting carefully selected projects both locally in Switzerland and internationally, as well as spearheading our own initiatives. Our passion for animal welfare is rooted in INA KESS, a Swiss luxury clothing brand that sought to contribute to the welfare of our furry friends as part of its overarching mission and purpose.

VISION
The INA KESS Animal Foundation is a proponent of animal welfare worldwide. Our mission is to effect positive change and make a meaningful contribution to the existence and wellbeing of abandoned and unwanted animals.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
The foundation was born out of a shared desire to improve the lives of animals in need. INA KESS has early on adopted their (meanwhile) signature cats Barney and Alfred, who were considered problematic, struggling characters finding their place in this world. Over time, they became the darlings of the INA KESS Team and now enjoy contented lives as office cats, offering love and compassion to anyone in need.
In 2021, INA KESS supported a local bear project in Switzerland (Arosa Bärenland) through the sale of a specially designed product, which was the trigger for three animal-loving friends (today the board of the foundation) to set their plan into motion. The foundations achievements so far include funding two tree caves for wild bees in Biberbrugg (Switzerland), a cat shelter in Corfu (Greece) and the ongoing financial support of four dog shelters run by locals in the North of Portugal, closeby the garment manufacturers of INA KESS.

OUR PRINCIPLES
Careful selection of the projects we support. Our aim is to make a meaningful impact in the lives of animals. In order to achieve this, we meticulously handpick animal projects that allow us to maximize the impact of every single donation received.
Regular check-ins on site. We conduct regular controls and personally visit donor recipients on-site to ensure the effective use of our donations.
100% of the donations are allocated towards the animals in need. It is our unwavering commitment to the welfare of animals that drives us to guarantee that 100% of all donations made to the INA KESS Animal Foundation are directed solely towards supporting animals in need. With no allocation towards administrative or employee costs, we ensure that every donation received goes towards our mission of making a positive impact in the lives of animals.

FINANCIALS
As transparency is a priority for us, we make our annual financial statement public. Our operations entail no administrative or employee expenses, and we maintain minimal marketing costs. Additionally, the foundations board operates on a voluntary basis.
