Castrationproject Corfu, Greece

During her summer holidays in 2021, the Manager of the INA KESS Animal Foundation visited Corfu, Greece for the first time and was struck by the overwhelming number of cats in horrible condition. She knew that something had to be done to help them.

In 2022, she took action and caught 102 cats in the area of Paleokastritsa. She had them sterilized and treated for parasites, as well as taking care of the injured ones and vaccinating a whole colony of cats. Since that summer, two volunteers have been feeding the cats in Paleokastritsa and continuing to castrate more. This project was entirely financed with donations.

The success of the project led the Foundation planning another sterilization project in April 2023, with the aim of castrating even more cats to prevent their population from growing out of control. It is inspiring to see that dedication and compassion has improved the lives of animals in need, and we see the efforts to create real change through practical action works.
